What does DNS mean?
Computers, laptops, servers and smartphones address each other on the Internet using numbers and use them to communicate with each other.
These numbers are called IP addresses.
So that you don't have to remember and enter long numbers, enter the domain name (for example "denic.de"). The Domain Name System (DNS) links the numerical IP addresses with the domain names, making surfing the Internet easier.
What is Anycast?
By operating synchronized servers on all continents and their IP country zones, access times to the DNS are shortened and global Internet usage is thus significantly accelerated.
