DENIC Services Environmental Protection

As a company, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and society. For this reason, we have developed a comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) policy that reflects our efforts towards environmental protection, social responsibility and good corporate governance. Below we would like to give you an insight into some of the key points of our ESG initiatives.

In everything we do, we strive to have a positive impact on our environment and community. Our ESG policy is an integral part of our corporate culture and our commitment to a more sustainable future. We remain committed to continually improving our efforts and finding new ways to maximize our contribution to environmental protection and social responsibility.

3 office days per week

We have an innovative working structure that enables our employees to work in the office three days a week and allows two days of mobile working. This not only reduces individual commuting and thus the fuel consumption of our employees, but also helps to reduce electricity and heating costs in our office. Through this measure, we are making a measurable contribution to reducing our CO2 emissions and promoting a better work-life balance for our employees.

Promoting the use of public transport

We actively encourage our employees to use local public transport by offering them flexible working hours and support with travel allowances. By reducing private transport and promoting environmentally friendly mobility alternatives, we are making an important contribution to easing traffic congestion and reducing emissions.

Paperless office

We are proud to operate a largely paperless office. In 2023, we printed less than 500 pages of paper, which is a drastic decrease compared to previous years. By digitizing our work processes and using electronic documents, we not only minimize our paper consumption, but also significantly reduce our environmental footprint.

Dispensing with hardware that requires disposal

To reduce waste and conserve resources, we rely on innovative solutions such as Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony instead of traditional telephone systems or use cloud services instead of our own server hardware. This allows us to avoid using hardware that would have to be disposed of in the event of a defect, while at the same time promoting more efficient and sustainable communication methods in our company.

Drinks from glass bottles

As part of our commitment to environmental protection and resource conservation, we only offer our employees and visitors drinks in glass bottles. By avoiding single-use plastic, we are actively helping to reduce plastic pollution and promote the circular economy.

Selection of ESG-compliant service providers

When selecting our service providers, we attach particular importance to ensuring that they comply with our ESG values. This means that we give preference to partners who have a proven track record of integrating environmentally friendly practices and social responsibility into their business operations. Through this selective collaboration, we not only strengthen our own sustainability agenda, but also support other companies on their path to greater ESG compliance.

Social responsibility and corporate governance principle

In line with our values of integrity and transparency, we promote transparent and responsible corporate governance. We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations and value ethical business practices. Corruption, bribery and unfair competition are unacceptable in our company and are consistently rejected. In addition, we make business decisions based on a thorough risk assessment and careful risk management in order to create long-term value for our stakeholders. Open dialog and regular communication with our employees, customers, suppliers, investors and the community are crucial for us to build a relationship of partnership and strengthen their trust. We strive to implement and continuously improve these principles in all areas of our company in order to create a sustainable and successful future.
